"Topical steroids are an important part of the treatment plan for most people with eczema. When eczema flares up, applying cream, lotion or ointment containing a steroid will reduce inflammation, ease soreness and irritation, reduce itching, and relieve the need to scratch, allowing the skin to heal and recover.

Steroids are naturally occurring substances that are produced in our bodies to regulate growth and immune function. There are many different kinds of steroids, including “anabolic steroids” like testosterone and “female hormones” like estrogen (both produced in the gonads), and corticosteroids such as cortisol, which is produced by the adrenal glands. Corticosteroids are the type of steroid used for eczema. Corticosteroids have many functions in the body, but among other things they are very effective at controlling inflammation. The way corticosteroids reduce inflammation is very complicated, but it involves temporarily altering the function of a number of cells and chemicals in the skin." --nationaleczema.org

LUMECCA

Discover a superior solution to improve skin complexion, reduce skin irregularities and look years younger.

What is LUMECCA?

Lumecca is the most powerful intense pulsed light (IPL) to treat pigmented and vascular lesions. After use, patients notice significant improvements in the complexion and clarity of the skin. Lumecca operates using photothermolysis, which provides a photofacial through the delivery of a comfortable light treatment.

What are the benefits?

Lumecca improves the appearance of the skin including:

  • Age spots (red/brown pigmentations)

  • Sun damage

  • Vascular lesions (spider veins, port wine stains, leg telangliectasia's)

  • Rosacea (redness)

  • Freckles

What areas can be treated?

Lumecca can be used on all areas of the body. The most common areas of treatment are zones that are regularly exposed to the sun. These often include the face, neck, décolletage, legs, hands and arms.

What steps must be taken before the procedure?

Avoid direct, excessive sun exposure or tanning one month prior to treatment.

What should I expect during and after LUMECCA?

During treatment there will be a bright flash of light from the Lumecca that feels like a light elastic sensation. Redness and a slight warming of the skin are normal after treatment and usually subsides within an hour. Over the next 24-48 hours you may see a darkening of pigmented spots; in the week afterwards the pigmented lesions flake off, leading to an evening out of skin tone. After treating vascular lesions you may see the vein blanch and disappear or a color change in the vessel which dissapates after a few days.

How many sessions are required?

An improved skin appearance can be noted after the first session and multiple sessions provide even better results. Treatment regime's depend on the severity of skin damage, type of treatment (vascular vs sun damage) and energy settings.

How quickly will I see results?

Sun damage and skin complexion results can be seen a few days after the first session. The skin will continue to look younger and more brilliant over time with most visible results after 1-2 weeks. Having multiple photofacial sessions will improve the final result. For vascular treatment such as spider or leg veins, results can be seen immediately in up to 2 weeks.

Are there any side effects?

Most patients do not experience any side effects and any skin reaction usually resolves within a few hours. Patients may find they are sensitive to sunlight immediately after treatment. It is recommended to avoid direct sunlight.

What is BodyFx?

BodyFX is a new, long lasting, non-invasive solution to reduce the unsightly appearance of cellulite leading to improvements in your body contour. BodyFX will reshape your body to provide a non-surgical alternative to liposuction. BodyFX is a perfect solution to get rid of your mummy tummy or muffin top.

How does BodyFx work?

BodyFX uses a combination of different clinically proven modalities including radio-frequency energy, deep tissue heating and suction coupled negative pressure. The radio-frequency energy distributes heat to the skin and underlying fat, causing the tissues to heat and contract. The vacuum and controlled energy pulses then work synergistically to provide beautiful body contouring results.

Does it hurt?

Mose users find BodyFX comfortable. During treatment you can expect a warming of your skin and gentle pulling sensation and the radio-frequency and vacuum work to smooth out unwanted stubborn pockets of fat.

How many sessions are required?

It is recommended that weekly sessions are performed over an eight week period. Gradual improvements in the treatment area can be seen following the first few treatments- with the skin's surface feeling smoother and softer immediately.

What kind of post procedure care is required?

There is absolutely no downtime for BodyFX. It can be a lunch time procedure. Patients will notice redness and warmth in the treated area which will subside after a few hours. This warmth is equivalent to the sensation felt after a deep tissue massage and will not prevent anyone from their regular activities.

Fractora can be used on areas that can benefit from skin renewal. The most commonly treated areas include: lower eyelid, upper eyelid, smile lines, forehead, cheeks, mouth and neck. Face and body areas that exhibit wrinkles, discoloration or acne scarring are suitable for treatment.

Visible results can be seen immediately, but typically after two weeks the most noticeable results appear. Improvements continue up to three months after treatment.

What is the benefit of fractionated energy?

Fractionated RF energy found in Fractora is a scientifically proven method that reduces wrinkles. It is minimally invasive, using a matrix of micro-pins to resurface and restore the skin, providing exceptional results with almost no patient downtime.

RF energy heats the deep layers of the skin in a controlled way to revitalize the collagen. Fractora treatment will improve skin complexion and texture for a more radiant and youthful appearance.

Can this be used in combination with other treatments?

When can I put make-up on after treatment?

Since patient downtime is minimal, makeup can be applied 1 to 2 days after the treatment. Patients should expect to see micro lesions a few days after treatment and slight redness for up to 1 week depending on treatment parameters.

What kind of post procedure care is required?

Patients should moisturize the treatment area and avoide direct sun exposure. It is also recommended that patients use a good, broad spectrum sunscreen every day. In addition to reducing their future risk of skin cancer, suncreens also reduce wrinkles and slow the aging process.

You can finally give up on shaving, waxing, bleaching and depilatory creams!

Diolaze is the ULTIMATE solution to getting rid of unwanted hair!

Achieve the smooth and soft skin that you've always wanted with the new champion of laser hair removal.

What is Diolaze?

Diolaze is an advanced laser hair removal procedure that safely and gently eliminates unwanted hair. Diolaze has one of the largest treatment spot sizes, making treatments convenient and fast. The combination of efficacy, patient comfort and speed makes Diolaze the leader in laser hair removal.

What Is The Benefit Of Diolaze?

Unlike traditional methods (waxing, shaving, bleaching or using depilatory creams), Diolaze laser hair removal impacts the root of the problem, rather than offering a temporary solution. Traditional methods will require treatment forever, while Diolaze only requires a few sessions. Most patient immediately notice a significant reduction in hair growth after a few sessions and eventually smooth and hair-free skin.

How Does Diolaze Work?

During laser treatment, a diode laser beam passes through the skin towards hair follicles. The penetrating energy then heats up the root of the hair, which in turn prevents future hair growth.

Does It Hurt?

Diolaze has a built in skin cooling surface which is one of the largest for all hair removal devices. This makes treatment more comfortable than other devices, with most patients noting that Diolaze is virtually painless.

Why Do I Need Multiple Treatments To Achieve Hair Removal?

As with all laser hair removal methods, Diolaze requires a series of treatments. Laser hair removal works best when hair follicles are in their mature stage, however, at any given time, your hair is in various stages of growth.

How Many Sessions Are Required?

With each treatment, hair is reduced and best results are observed after four to six sessions. The number of sessions will differ depending on your hair color, hair type, body area, and skin tone.

Which Areas Of The Body Can Be Treated?

Diolaze can be safely used on most areas of the body that have unwanted hair. Most commonly treated areas include: bikini, legs, arms, chest, back, shoulders, stomach, neck, chin and sideburns.
